Bill Corcoran was appointed Chief Information Officer of the North Carolina State Ports Authority in July 2018. He is a veteran industry executive and integral in growing North Carolina Ports’ Information Technology Department and Business Process area.
Before joining the North Carolina Ports team, Corcoran served as the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Service Management and Vice President of Business Process and Information Technology with Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL). During that time, he established a plan to modernize and rationalize the service delivery organization; consolidated several regional operations in to a “Shipment Management Center” located in Atlanta, Georgia; and achieved 50 percent peak volume increase and record net freight values in under 24 months. In addition to his tenure at MOL, Corcoran spent nearly 20 years with Maersk Group in a number of roles including process engineering, systems development and management.
