Jerry Cook was appointed to the North Carolina State Ports Authority Board of Directors by North Carolina Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger and his team expires in 2026.

Mr. Cook is Vice President of Government and Trade Relations for Hanesbrands Inc. He oversees various trade, government, global connectivity, and Department of Homeland Security/customs programs. He is the Hanesbrands customs account manager and oversees the Hanesbrands C-TPAT program.

He has been appointed to the Cotton Board, U.S. Treasury Advisory Committee for Customs Commercial Operations (COAC) and is a member and founding/charter member with Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Mr. Cook is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker. He was also named the Chair of the United States Chamber of International Business Customs Committee.
