Susan Rabon was appointed to the North Carolina State Ports Authority Board of Directors by Governor Roy Cooper. Her term expires in 2025.

Mrs. Rabon is a part owner of Commonwealth Home Health Care, Inc., Commonwealth Document Management, Inc., Fire Safe, Inc., and PAM, Inc. She serves as the Director and Vice President of Commonwealth Home Health Care, Inc. and Commonwealth Document Management, Inc. She serves in an advisory capacity to the companies which provide services and product that cover all aspects of healthcare including medical equipment, home oxygen, safety and rehabilitation products.

Mrs. Rabon previously retired from the State of North Carolina after serving as a Commissioner on the North Carolina Utilities Commission, Senior Assistant for Administration for the Governor’s Office, and Deputy Attorney for Administration for the North Carolina Department of Justice.

Mrs. Rabon has a B.A. in Political Science from North Carolina State University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. She is a members of the North Carolina State Bar and a North Carolina Certified Mediator. She is the current chair of the Bald Head Island Transportation Authority and serves on the Dosher Hospital Foundation Board and the Watson School of Education Advisory Council.
