Hurricane Idalia Notice – Update #2

We continue to monitor the track of Hurricane Idalia. All NC Ports facilities remain open and are operating on a normal schedule today, Wednesday, August 30.

In order to operate as safely and efficiently as possible, we have made the following operational adjustments:

On Thursday, August 31, the Port of Morehead City will be closed for commercial operations and tenant access. The Port of Morehead City will open on a normal schedule on Friday, September 1.

On Thursday, August 31, The Port of Wilmington will be closed for commercial operations and tenant access. Limited tenant access can be coordinated through the Ports Police once it is deemed safe to re-enter the Port. Ports Police can be contacted at 910-279-7121.

On Friday, September 1 the South Gate and Container Operations will begin at 6 am. The North Gate and General Cargo as well as tenant access will resume on a normal schedule.

The Charlotte Inland Port will remain on a normal operating schedule Thursday and Friday.

We will provide a confirmation of reopening schedule tomorrow, August 31 no later than 3 pm eastern.
